Eng. Kariuki is a Chartered Engineer (EC, UK) and a Member of the Institution of Chartered Engineers and the Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation. She is also a registered professional engineer in Kenya. Eng Kariuki holds a BSc. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nairobi and MSc. in Transport Planning and Engineering from University of Leeds. She has 19 years’ experience as a Highway Design Engineer and a Road Safety Expert in major road projects both locally and abroad.
Eng. Kariuki practiced civil engineering in the UK between the years’ 2005 and 2012, a move that has equipped her with ample knowledge of various internationally accepted design codes and best practices. She has extensive experience in the design of urban infrastructure.
Eng Kariuki has vast experience in Road Safety Engineering having been involved in the road safety improvement projects in various location in London, and also a safety engineer responsible for Junction Safety Improvements throughout the Transport for London Road Network aimed at improving safety for non-motorized users.
Eng Kariuki is also an Affiliate Member of the Society of Road Safety Auditors (SORSA) of the UK.
