The road is about 140km long and forms part the proposed rehabilitation of the 600km Kitale – Lodwar – Nadapal road that is supposed to connect Tanzania and Kenya to South Sudan. It will also link up with the proposed LAPSSET corridor.
Carried out independent traffic data collection that was used to review geometric configurations and the pavement design loading analysis that had been proposed in an earlier design. The new recommendations were then used to update the engineer’s cost estimate and an independent economic analysis undertaken using the HDM-4 software.
