Chairman/Director – Eng. John Absaloms OKUMU
Eng. Okumu has a Master’s of Science in Highways Engineering and a career spanning over 33 years.He is a registered Consulting Engineer with the Engineers Registration Board and a Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK).
Eng. Okumu worked in the Materials department of the Ministry of Roads and Public Works between 1984 and 1989 and was involved particularly in research and testing of materials for road construction, pavement rehabilitation design and general road maintenance purposes.
Managing Director – Eng. Tom OPIYO
Eng. Opiyo is a registered Consulting Engineer with over 28 years’ experience in the field of Highways and Transportation Engineering. He was a Lecturer of Transportation Engineering (Traffic and Highways) at the University of Nairobi between 1996 and 2008. He has undertaken many transportation studies and implemented a number of projects in Eastern and Southern Africa region.
He has gained and applied experiences in the areas of: Non-Motorized Transport; Public Transport Services; Road safety; Road infrastructure feasibility studies, design, development and maintenance; Economic analysis of road investments. In addition, Eng. Opiyo has over the last 15 years carried out research and authored several publications in the field of Transportation and Highway Engineering. He has also presented numerous papers at Professional Meetings both locally and internationally.
Key Technical Staff
ITEC has a staff of 20 comprising Senior and Junior Engineers, Technicians and other support staff. Experience among the staff rages from 25 years of professional experience to graduate engineers with under two years of experience
