Description

This introductory course is designed to enable the participant(s) to understand: the strong interrelationship between land-use planning (and control) and transportation planning (and management) in urban areas; to discuss the importance of integrating land-use and transportation planning; the application of the traditional 4-step transport planning process and other emerging approaches in land-use and transport planning; the use of Traffic Impact Assessments in integrated land use and transportation planning; and, the process of carrying out a Traffic Impact Assessment for a large development through a case study.
